Synopsis: One Demon. One Angel. One Soul. Josh lived a reckless, selfish life, so upon his death, escaping the eternal torments of Hell by assuming the role of a powerful, soul-corrupting demon is an easy choice. His first soul assignment doesn’t seem too hard: the mortal Camden is already obsessed with weapons, pain, and torture. If only Josh wasn’t distracted by Cam’s beautiful friend, Grace. Grace never expected to die violently at age sixteen, but now she’s an Angel, responsible for saving a soul. She can already see past Camden’s earthly flaws, so the job should be easy. If only that handsome, playboy Josh would stop getting in the way. It’s forbidden for an Angel to be with a Demon, so if Josh and Grace stop resisting each other, the results would be disastrous. And only one can claim Cam’s soul.

*I given an eARC via NetGalley in exchange an honest review* Well I finished “Soul Crossed” back in February and I have way too many project due lately, actually I still have an essay I haven’t finish, I finished “Soul Crossed” in one and a half day, I can’t really remmber as the memory is a little flade since I finished it in early February. “Soul Crossed” followed two charcters: Josh and Grace’s POV both trying to complete a task – claiming a soul. When Josh died, he become a demon; when Grace died, she become an angel. It’s fast-paced, the plot is very cool. I have never read a book about demon, I had read “Hush Hush” back in somewhere in 2014 but “Hush Hush” is about fallen angels so I guess it’s different. And I haven’t finished “Hush Hush” Angel and demon, good and evil, heaven and hell… That’s sound like a cheesy love story, well forbidden love is a little bit too cliché and everyone is writing about forbidden love since Romeo and Juliet. When I first read the synopsis, I was like “Please this book have to be good!!!” And yes, I am right. This book is not as cheesy as it sound, “Soul Crossed” is darker than it sound, don’t let the synopsis and the cover fooled you. Some of the charcters is twisted and dark and it also have some plot twists. I think it is a trilogy or something. Overalls, this is a good read with forbidden love, twisted charcters and drama (pun might or might not insterted) Rating: ♦♦♦♦ (Note to self: I should be a rating system or something)
