Synopsis: Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face. But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him. Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

I finished “The DUFF” in a day less than a freaking 12 hours, I have never finished a book in a day, that’s insane. And I love it. Keplingfer wrote this book when she was 17, How? I’m almost 16 and the best I can write is a shitty fanfic with extremely cliché storyline (well I wrote it when I am around 14 or something so…) Bianca annoy me sometimes, Bianca stop making being a “Duff” a big deal, this is really annoying. I am 85% sure that I am the “Duff” in ours group and I am not making a big deal. Oh Wesley, he is such a player and I hate him and I love him. And that’s what make this book so real, the characters have flaws. Everyone in this book is not “perfect”, it feels so real, I feel like there are a Bianca somewhere in this world with her Wesley. Bianca is our typical high school girl or Bianca is too similar with me: low self-esteem, crushing on someone who is out of my reach… You know just like every teenage girl you meet everyone maybe without the sexy enemies with benefit. Bianca used sex to out run her problem; good things I used words and music to out run my own problem. It’s rare that YA would talk about sex and I think it’s a good thing I means we have YA that focus on LGBT and other topic, people are making books about sex is a sin or something. I love the relationship of Bianca and Wesley; the love/hate relationship and all the that things happen between them, it’s per-fect.the duff Rating: ♦♦♦♦♦
