Armchair BEA – Social Media

wpid-wp-1432803392556Book bloggers unable to attend the BEA Bloggers Conference or Book Expo America (BEA) in New York City, but would like to ‘meet’ other book bloggers and publishers to discuss books and book blogging can participate in this virtual event. Armchair BEA has been run by book bloggers on a volunteer basis since 2010, although giveaways are sponsored by authors and publishers.

Today topic is social media as the internet grow, social media become a part of our life (well this sound like a school essay introduction) Social Media is important to my life, I’m a blogger (can I call myself a blogger? why this sound so weird?) so social media is part of my life. Here is a list of my social media and shameless self-promo

1. Instagram

Book bloggers unable to attend the BEA Bloggers Conference or Book Expo America (BEA) in New York City, but would like to ‘meet’ other book bloggers and publishers to discuss books and book blogging can participate in this virtual event. Armchair BEA has been run by book bloggers on a volunteer basis since 2010, although giveaways are sponsored by authors and publishers.

The rule say I have to post it on 27 May but it is already 28 May here well it’s still 27 May in America so it’s still 27 May anyway here are the five questions I pick for Armchair BEA intro

1. Tell us a bit about yourself: How long have you been blogging? Where are you from? How did you get into blogging?

I have been blogging since January 2015 so this whole book blogging thing is still kinda new to me. I’m from Hong Kong, I get into blogging throught bookstagram, I saw Candy (thebookishgirl) had a book blog and I think it would be fun to have a book blog Continue reading

Book Review: The Heartbreaker by Ali Novak

25266817Title: The Heartbreaker

Author: Ali Novak

Gernes: Young Adult

GoodReads × Amazon

Trigger Warning: Swearing, Spoiler etc.

Synopsis: “When I met Oliver Perry, I had no clue he was the lead singer for The Heartbreakers. And he had no idea that I was the only girl in the world who hated his music.”

Stella will do anything for her sick sister, Cara—even stand in line for an autographed Heartbreakers CD…for four hours. She’s totally winning best birthday gift this year. At least she met a cute boy with soft brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes while getting her caffeine fix. Too bad she’ll never see him again.

Except, Stella’s life has suddenly turned into a cheesy love song. Because Starbucks Boy is Oliver Perry – lead singer for the Heartbreakers. And even after she calls his music crap, Oliver still gives Stella his phone number. And whispers quotes from her favorite Disney movie in her ear. OMG, what is her life?

But how can Stella even think about being with Oliver — dating and laughing and pulling pranks with the band — when her sister could be dying of cancer? Continue reading

Waiting on Wednesday #8: Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

23734628Waiting on Wednesday is weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine, basically I would post one of my highly anticipated books every Wednesday. You can now click on the picture and it will link to GoodReads

Title: Carry On

Author; Rainbow Rowell

Release Date: 6th October 2015

Synopsis: Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything.

Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.

Reasons I want this book: Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite author and I would read everything and anything by Rainbow Rowell and Carry On is a spin-off from Fangirl and I read Fangirl yet but I don’t really like it that much however I will reread Fangirl ASAP. It is a love story on Simon and Baz so it’s LGBT-ish so I’m excited
